Avec trois victoires obtenues
dans le Simple Dame, le Double Dames, le Double Mixte,
la Capitaine de la Team Egypt est sans conteste "la
Reine"
de ce tournoi.
Classée 367° WBF avant l'Open marocain, sa victoire dans
le simple dame lui fait obtenir 2500 points ce qui la
propulse aux alentours de 234° WBF. Elle fait donc un
bond de +/- 133 places au classement mondial.

Comme nous avions pu vous
l'annoncer en mai dernier,
l'Egyptienne Hadia Hosny
(12416 Pts) vient de
reprendre la tête du classement
du simple dame Afrique. Elle
devance d'une place et de 26
points la Mauricienne Kareen Foo
Kune.
Le chassé-croisé va continuer
dans les prochains mois. La
mauricienne Kareen Foo Kune qui
a récemment été retenue au titre
de la représentation
continentale Afrique aux
prochains Championnats du Monde
(Août 2010) devrait reprendre la
tête du classement Afrique. En
effet, le simple fait de sa
participation lui accordera 1200
points ....
Au-delà d'éventuelles
participations extra
continentales, les deux joueuses
pourront obtenir des points si
elles participent aux Opens
annoncés du Maroc (Juin),
du Botswana (Août) et de la
R.S.A. (Novembre).
Pour l'année
2010 et jusqu'à ce jour,
l'Egyptienne Hadia Hosny a
obtenu 8546 Pts et la
Mauricienne Karen Foo Kune 7310
Pts, soit 1236 pts de moins que
sa concurrente directe.

La nouvelle
championne d’Afrique de Badminton 2010, Hadia Hosny est très
heureuse après son sacre en Ouganda.
Meilleure représentante africaine lors des Jeux Olympiques de
Pékin 2008, plusieurs titres glanés avec la sélection
Egyptienne, Hadia n’en finit plus de faire parler d’elle dans le
bon sens. De caractère timide, son humilité fait l’unanimité.
Un exemple pour l’Afrique, un exemple pour les sportifs, Hadia
vous dit merci…
"I
was really happy being there with all my African friends, it was
really great when i won my matches and had that title of queen
of Africa 2010. I would like to thank all of you, my badminton
friends, family, coaches, players, federation, and fans…you all.
For my objectives, i wish, I have been qualified to world
championships this year and perform well and be a good
representative for our continent. I would like to thank our
great website founders, Alain and players committee which is
built around Jacques OWONO.
Special
thanks for those who supported me besides BCA and to the world.
I also need to said that,
our
African Badminton Players Association creation is really
important will gather all teams together and enhance the level
of badminton in Africa. I always wish all the best for Nigeria
men’s team for Thomas cup and South Africa lady’s team for the
Uber cup in Malaysia.
